Meet the city
Explore neighborhood spaces, local businesses, artists, makers, musicians, and culture-bearers.
New Orleans is our classroom
GiftEd creates hands-on cultural experiences where children ages 5–12 explore New Orleans, make meaningful connections, and discover the gifts already within them.

GiftEd Homeschool Days
One weekday at a time, we turn the city into a living classroom. Instead of recreating school indoors, children learn by meeting people, noticing place, asking questions, and creating something of their own.
Explore neighborhood spaces, local businesses, artists, makers, musicians, and culture-bearers.
Children learn with their hands through art, building, storytelling, food traditions, and playful discovery.
Small groups give children room to connect—and families a welcoming community to return to.
The Hidden Classroom
We welcome the group, spark curiosity, and introduce the day’s place, person, or object.
Children investigate through movement, conversation, observation, and hands-on making.
We close with reflection and something meaningful to carry home: a story, creation, or new question.
